| Amy JoyceAmy is a Clinical Psychologist and has over 20 years experience in working with adults and adolescents.
Amy has a broad range of clinical interests including people experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, perinatal issues, personality disorders, and trauma.
Amy works from attachment and brain based models and aims to empower individuals to overcome the impact of early challenging experiences and work toward developing more adaptive and functional current relationships. Amy tailors the treatment to the individual, presenting problem and their readiness/capability for change. She is recognised for providing an in-depth therapy and her approach is founded on empathy, respect and validation. Amy offers a non-judgmental, culturally sensitive, family inclusive therapy and adheres to the stringent ethical guidelines to ensure safe practice.
Amy is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists (CCLIN). She is trained and skilled in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and psychodynamic approaches also inform her practice.
