Susan is a clinical psychologist who has over thirty years of experience. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of community and hospital-based mental health settings. She enjoys seeing clients from a wide range of backgrounds.

Her training (Masters and Post-Masters) is in psychodynamic therapy, family therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. Her special interests include resilience and creativity. In the mid-2000s, she co-authored two published papers on the evidence-based risk and protective factors that underpin resilience. This has filtered back into her clinical work. She likes to share information about evidence-based resilience with her clients because it helps to frame a plan for working together.

When appropriate, a plan may include exploring how a client’s building blocks for creativity (self-reflection, ‘making’ and play) can be strengthened.
