Entering into therapy can lead us to greater peace with ourselves, improved relationships with others, and a path to a more authentic and meaningful life. I bring rich life experience and training to my practice of psychotherapy but when I sit across from a new client, face-to-face, I see a unique individual looking back at me. I approach the unfolding therapeutic relationship and the work to be done with a 'beginners mind'; open, respectful, non-judgemental and compassionate.
Whilst I have particular interest in grief and loss, trauma, existential concerns (incl. climate change-related anxieties), emotional self-regulation, and addiction, I am deeply interested in all aspects of the experience and suffering that clients bring 'to the room'.
My work draws on multiple modalities, tailored to the needs of the client I am working with; which, for me is what this work is about ... listening deeply to a fellow human being and responding in useful ways.
