Jules Silva

Entering into therapy can lead us to greater peace with ourselves, improved relationships with others, and a path to a more authentic and meaningful life. I bring rich life experience and training to my practice of psychotherapy but when I sit across from a new client, face-to-face, I see a unique individual looking back at me. I approach the unfolding therapeutic relationship and the work to be done with a 'beginners mind'; open, respectful, non-judgemental and compassionate.

I have particular interest in grief and loss, trauma, and existential concerns (including those that induce 'climate change'-related anxieties) but am deeply interested in all aspects of the experience and suffering that clients bring 'to the room'.

My work draws on multiple modalities, tailored to the needs of the client I am working with; which, for me is what this work is about ... listening deeply to a fellow human being and responding in useful ways.

Key professional training includes BA in Communications and Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
