Merril Winney

Merril Winney is a Clinical Psychologist with an interest in counselling to promote positive change. Merril works with clients who need assistance with stress management, depression , anxiety, perinatal depression, adjustment issues, family issues, educational needs and health realted issues, in particular cardiac illness. Counselling sessions aim to foster a supportive environment and focus on the client's individual needs. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Therapy (ACT) are intergrated into counselling to assist clients to develop strategies and skills to assist them long term. Merril has experience presenting stress management and resilience seminars to organisations and stress management presentations incorporated in Cardiac Rehabilitation programs. Merril has experience in Critical Incident debriefing and counselling in the workplace. Merril is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a member of the Clinical College of the APS.
